Production and Office Steel structure building

SON Vinica is a long-established manufacturer of snow ploughs and other municipal equipment. The company is an existing Schwarzmann client, for whom we previously successfully delivered a smaller storage fabric structure.
Due to continuous production growth and the increasing need for modern working facilities, the investor decided to construct a new steel structure building adjacent to the existing building.

The new building was designed as an extension of the existing production facility, positioned directly along the main access road. With its contemporary architectural design, the new building now visually conceals the older multi-span halls and creates a significantly more organised, modern and representative first impression upon arrival at the company premises.

Design and Project Documentation

Schwarzmann was involved in the project during both the design and execution phases. Based on the already prepared architectural concept, we developed the execution design (detailed design) for the steel structure as well as for the concrete works.
All solutions were fully coordinated with the existing architectural execution drawings.

Special attention was given to the alignment of structural solutions with architectural requirements and to ensuring optimal functionality of the production process within the new facility.

Concept of the New Steel Structure building

The new steel structure building combines two clearly defined functional areas:

  • A two-storey office section, designed in an elegant white and anthracite colour combination
  • A production area in a silver finish, engineered for demanding industrial processes

The production area is designed to accommodate a bridge crane, therefore the steel structure was already prepared during the design phase with the necessary beams and columns for the crane runway.

This concept ensures smooth and uninterrupted production workflows, while at the same time providing a clear functional and visual separation between administrative and technical areas, integrated into a coherent architectural whole.

Supply and Execution

As part of the project, Schwarzmann delivered a complete package of key building components, including:

  • Steel structure
  • Sika roof system and facade made of insulated sandwich panels
  • Sectional industrial doors and personnel access doors
  • Windows and glazing in the office section
  • External blinds for effective solar shading of office spaces

The result is a modern, functional and visually distinctive industrial steel structure building, providing the investor with long-term operational reliability while significantly enhancing the company’s corporate image along a major traffic route.
