PVC Nagode is a successful company specializing in the production of building elements as well as the coating and distribution of PVC and aluminium window profiles from renowned German manufacturers. At their location in Postojna, they faced a spatial challenge – their existing production areas had become too small for their growing needs. The only available option for expansion was the narrow space between two existing buildings. This called for a customized engineering solution with high flexibility and precise adaptation.
The main challenge was the irregular space between two halls placed in different orientations on the plot. The ground was uneven and the floor plan asymmetrical, which required each support column to be individually adjusted to match the terrain.
In this case, our Schwarzmann X® system proved to be the ideal solution. It is a contemporary flat-roof structure with uniform interior height that allows for maximum spatial adaptability. It enabled a seamless connection between the two buildings and deliver a fully customized layout.
Today, the new facility serves as a modern warehouse for the company’s logistics operations, freeing up additional capacity in the existing insulated space for production. The building is equipped with three separate access points allowing for efficient flow of goods in and out.
Beyond improved logistics transparency, the new connection also enables enclosed material handling between warehouse and production, improving working conditions and offering protection from the elements.
