A company in the metal processing industry in Carinthia, Austria needed additional storage capacities due to its expanding production. They were looking for a fast, high-quality, and tailored solution for a challenging plot with uneven terrain.
Warehouses for Storing Metal Products
The layout of the newly asphalted site did not allow for a single large structure, and the length of the stored products required greater spacing between columns. Additionally, the materials were sensitive to moisture, which called for special measures to prevent condensation and water ingress into the storage areas.
Schwarzmann designed and installed four fabric warehouses, each with a width of 20 meters but varying lengths, precisely leveled to follow the terrain. The total storage area covers 4,200 m². To protect the materials, the halls are equipped with internal ceiling PVC membranes that effectively prevent condensation dripping. The side PVC membranes are watertight and sealed to the asphalt, providing extra protection against ground water ingress.
A larger spacing between columns (5 m) ensures optimal use of space for storing long products. One of the buildings features an extended roof, while all are equipped with sectional loading doors and ventilation via fans. The result is a fully customized storage solution that reliably protects the materials, meets production requirements, and perfectly adapts to the site’s specific layout.
