Knoll is a renowned Austrian company specializing in the sale and servicing of Toyota vehicles, offering comprehensive solutions for car sales, maintenance, and repair. Driven by high standards and a focus on quality, Knoll decided to invest in a covered parking structure that would provide enhanced vehicle protection and ensure smooth preparation for sale.
We designed a covered parking structure for Knoll, measuring 18 x 36 m, which includes an insulated section of 18 x 8 m dedicated to the dry preparation of vehicles for display and sale. The combination of the flat-roofed covered parking area and the insulated section ensures optimal functionality and adapts to the client’s needs. The flat roof structure was selected to harmonize with existing buildings on the site, contributing to a cohesive and visually appealing appearance.
The covered parking structure is built on point foundations, while the insulated enclosed section is supported by a concrete slab, ensuring the stability and durability of the entire structure. The enclosed area features integrated building elements, including windows, doors, and Hörmann industrial doors, enhancing the space’s functionality. The insulated roof prevents condensation, providing crucial protection for displayed vehicles.
On the northern side of the canopy, where adverse weather conditions (rain, hail, snow) are most frequent, a PVC membrane with integrated mesh parts is installed. This solution effectively prevents rain from wetting the vehicles, protects them from lateral hail impacts, and stops snow from blowing under the canopy, offering additional protection against weather conditions.
The external parapet wall elegantly conceals the drainage gutters, giving the structure a modern look. This architectural solution not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also contributes to the overall functionality, ensuring weather protection. The insulated area provides a dry and comfortable environment for vehicle preparation, boosting work efficiency and enhancing the user experience. Prepared vehicles can be directly displayed or moved to the sales area.
The covered parking structure with an insulated area for vehicle preparation at Knoll represents a combination of aesthetic demands, functionality, and adaptability, reflecting Schwarzmann’s commitment to delivering high-quality and innovative solutions for its clients.
