Arcont, a well-established Slovenian company in the field of modular living units and building joinery, originally planned to expand its storage capacity by constructing two separate buildings of varying lengths. At Schwarzmann, we proposed a more efficient solution: a single Schwarzmann X® warehouse with a central row of columns. This eliminated any unused space between the buildings while also providing better internal logistics routes. This design eliminated unused space between the buildings and improved internal logistics.
The project was developed with a clear focus on long-term functionality and operational efficiency. The roof structure was designed to accommodate the future installation of a photovoltaic system, enabling a smooth transition to renewable energy.
The 1,795 m² warehouse is clad in durable sheet metal, offering both lasting protection and a modern industrial look. To enhance energy efficiency, we integrated façade-mounted skylights that provide ample natural daylight, helping to reduce electricity consumption during daytime operations. In addition to delivering the steel structure and façade, Schwarzmann also supplied and installed the complete interior lighting system. The result is a modern, functional, and energy-efficient facility that supports Arcont in optimizing storage operations while advancing its sustainability goals.
