L-shaped Schwarzmann X® Canopy with Tyre Storage

For Autohaus Sapper GmbH, a provider of automotive services in Zeltweg, we designed and constructed an L-shaped Schwarzmann X® canopy, specifically tailored to the client’s needs. Autohaus Sapper, with a long-standing tradition in vehicle sales and servicing, is committed to delivering top-quality and comprehensive solutions for its customers. The entyre project spans a total covered area of 1872 m², with an additional 689 m² allocated for tyre storage.

Adaptation to Different Vehicle Types

The canopy is designed with two different heights, allowing for the optimal use of space for parking various types of vehicles. The higher section is designated for light delivery vehicles and motorhomes, while the lower section is suitable for passenger cars. This design enables the client to fully utilize the parking space available.

Structural Adjustments for Uneven Terrain

Due to the uneven terrain, we had to adjust the height of each column based on its specific location. The foundation, a mix of concrete and asphalt, required custom modifications to the column fastenings to ensure the structure’s stability and safety.

Aesthetic and Functional Design

The canopy’s exterior is finished with an elegant parapet made from sandwich panels, which include integrated gutters for efficient rainwater drainage. On one side of the canopy, an additional structure was installed, prepared for the attachment of roller blinds. These blinds will offer further protection for vehicles parked under the canopy from adverse weather conditions.

Fire Safety and Additional Tyre Storage Features

The tyre storage area was designed to meet high fire safety standards. In accordance with these requirements, we installed a double fire wall, a partial fire-resistant roof, and a fire dome, all of which enhance the building’s safety in the event of a fire.

Additional Order During the Design Phase

During the design phase, the client requested an additional canopy. This was swiftly incorporated into the project and constructed to cover extra space adjacent to the main canopy.
